After I finished my run and strength training workout this morning the kids were still asleep (this never happens!) so I decided to whip up a delicious breakfast smoothie with my few extra minutes of free time. I saw this recipe on Carrots ‘N’ Cake a while back so I thought I would try it out.
1 frozen banana ( I learned the hard way to freeze them unpeeled)
I scoop vanilla protein powder
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 tblsp honey
1 tblsp ground flaxseed
2/3-1 cup Almond milk
Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse and blend. It tasted amazing and was a surprisingly filling way to start the morning with my boys!!
