Big H is a huge Star Wars fan. How is that possible at three when he hasn’t even seen the movies? Thanks dad.
His little shadow is never far behind!
Since this is the first year that he will be handing out valentines to his little friends at school I definitely wanted to do something special and homemade. When I saw these Yoda valentines over on design.wash.rinse.repeat I knew they would be perfect! So simple and fun for Big H to help me make and they even have the free printable over on their website.
Glow sticks (I found mine at the dollar store)
Single hole punch
1. Print and cut out valentines
2. Have child print their name on each one.
3. Punch a single hole in Yoda’s hand.
4. Insert glow stick into hole.
5. Flip card over and tape glow stick down on the back.
He can’t wait to hand them out at school this week!
Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. I agree with many in the thought of it being a commercialized holiday and you should be showing the ones you love them all year round but I do love cards and sending mail so it’s just one more excuse to do so. Many sites now including, Minted, Zazzle, Card Store and Treat allow you to personalize many of their cards to include your sweetie’s name or a special inside joke. Taking the time to select a “perfect” card makes those who love (and hate) the holiday feel a little extra special.
